Reference to the above, we again wish to inform you that the Bank of Punjab Limited have been sanctioned a Home Loan for a sum of Rs.9, 35, 000.00 (Rs. Nine Lacs Thirty Five Thousands Only) towards purchase of Home & Renovation on 7.75% P.A.R.O.I. (Variable). Now, we got surprise, when we come across the “Certificate for Interest for claiming under Section 80C & 24 (b) of Income Tax Act, 1961” issued by you (Copy of Sanction Letter Enclosed), that you are charging 13% P.A.R.O.I. (Variable). However, you are still offering the Home Loan @8.25% P.A.R.O.I. (Variable) to new Client.By using this type of practice, you are clearly breaching the guidelines of R.B.I. and please explain and clarify us that how you can offer the less rate of interest to the New Client, whether your P.L.R. is less than 13%. If you can offer less rate of interest to New Clients, then why not us? You are playing unfair practice with us to charge the High Rate of Interest without any intimation and you must be reversed the difference of Higher Interest and credited the same to our principal account without any further delay, failing which i shall initiate action. As on date our account is regular and we are paying the installment regularly and honestly. It's a two way loot of the existing HDFC Home Loan customers i.e. either they keep on paying the high interest rates or pay illegal ransom in form of Prepayment penalty for shifting to better. You are taking us for a ride as you are treating old bop customers as step children i think all the old bop customers file a PIL against you, or do something so that this coercion should be stopped and we Pray God Almighty to put some brakes on your free run to Cheating customers charging High ROI. My Sincere Advise to ALL homes Loan Seekers Please read the Fine print and Think twice approaching this Private Sector Bank. Because, we think this way our Loan will never end till we die.

Further, you are requested to look in to the matter; otherwise, we have to file a complaint with Banking Ombudsman and Consumer Court for the same. Hope you will take up the matter on the priority basis and expedite the same.
