Wrong Charging by HDFC Bank Credit Card

Hi All,

I have been using a HDFC Bank Credit Card from past 6-7 Years. Initially I had an Gold Card and after years of using, repayment of bills on time and many cards upgarde, I had been offered PLATINUM EDGE card few months back by the bank. This was an upsell by the bank.

At the time of offer given, I had asked the CSR for the charges of this card, but he said there are no annual charges for this card.

To my surprise when I received the mothly bill for June'12, there was Annual membership fee of Rs.2K levied in my account.

This is an example of absolute fraud by such a brand and reward for a loyal customer who trusted in the brand and eventually promoted people to at least for once have an product from HDFC and experience the quality of services.

Anyways I have logged a ticket for the same. Ticket number is 12171185604 and while logging this ticket also the CSR told me that my card would be degraded from the new card to the old one.

Clearly Bank is playing with the EGO and the emotions of the customers so that either they give up the upgraded card or go ahead and make the payments.

Request you to waive off this amount at the earliest possible and do whatever you want with my account but please keep me posted on the progress.
