HDFC Credit Card
Paid in full but still the balance is showing up and has been notified to siebel

I had a credit card with hdfc which i paid off in installments and confirmed with them that there is no balance left and the card has been cancelled. i was provided with the receipts for the payment which i made in 2008. after that i did not hear from them any more. when i applied for a personal loan with barclays they said that my name was repirted to siebel and there is a outstanding balance of Rs 20000 aprox. when contact them they tell me that they will get back to me with the information. now its been 3 months and this is the same responce which i get from them. i have even cancelled my bank account with them as they are not trust worthy. please help me in getting this issue resolved
