I have HDFC Bank account since 2009 from ITPL Branch, Bangalore, Bearing Account No. 00771140175844, I had called up the customer care to block my ATM Card on 29-sep and they told me that the account is closed and they dont have any information about the reason for closing the account.
PF office had transfered Rs.17k to my account through NEFT Transaction towards my PF settlement in April'2011 and then the bank had reversed the transation stating name mismatch, then i followed with the PF office, chennai and they have now sent a check with my name to the bank and i am shocked to hear that the account is closed. I called the call center. they told that they are not aware of closed accounts and I should contact Bangalore call center and they gave me the no. I called and spoke to Swetha and padmini. Swetha didnt help me so after me becoming angry on call she transfered the call to Padmini - manager.
Padmini stated that she will check on this took my account details and Cheque details from PF office and told me that she would arrange for a call back in 24 hours. I expected a call on 30-sep and I didnt receive any I called back on 3-oct and the executive states that padmini is on another call and he would arrange for a call back and disconnected the call.
I didnt have any information about my account being closed and I had Rs.1000/- in my account. What happened to that amount? how is responsible for this or who will help me about this. I had requested padmini to look into it and if the cheques go back to PF office, chennai I would take lot of time to get it again.
Please help. what to do if the cheque is returned to PF Office. I want action to be taken against HDFC bank for its irresponsible act.
