Dear Sir/Madam,
I intent to purchase a 442 sqft flat in JPK Green Vista, Rajarhat, Kolkata. The builder told this a LICHFL approved property (as per him LICHFL already disbursed money also). Based on this information I approached LICHFL Nehru place, New Delhi branch since I reside in Delhi and my office is also in Delhi. After meeting LICHFL Delhi they suggested me to apply in Kolkata office as my property is in Kolkata. I went by their suggestion and applied in LICHFL Kolkata in the month of September. I submitted all documents there along with the copy of the builder buyer agreement, proof of Rs. 1 Lac paid to builder and also a cheque Rs. 1103/- payable to LICHFL vide ICICI bank cheque no 213263. T he same got credited to LICHFL on 30/10 as per my bank statement.
After that I contacted their Baguihati, Kolkata branch (where I applied) and they told I need to get my initial document verification done by LICHFL Delhi branch. I went to Nehru place Delhi branch and got the documents verified and send the same to LICHFL Baguitahi Kolkata branch with signature and stamp of LICHFL Nehru Place Delhi Branch Manager. Then I started following up with LICHFL Baguitahi Kolkata for the status. After several follow-ups I was told now you need to get you business verification done by LICHFL Nehru Place Delhi Branch and send the report to LICHFL Baguihati Kolkata Branch. After several personal requests and personal visits made to Nehru Place Delhi Branch the Branch Manger came to my office and did the verification and send the verification report with his recommendation to their LICHFL Baguitahi Kolkata branch. I thought now my things will move. I went to Kolkata on last week of January only to again follow with LICHFL Baguitahi Kolkata branch about the status. They told that now this will move. Last 3rd week of February I received a feedback thru my local agent that my application got rejected due to flat size. LICHFL don't fund any property less than 500 sqft and mine is 442 sqft. My simple question to all of you, if that is the fact then why LICHFL Baguitahi Kolkata branch never told us this will not be done. They had the builder buyer agreement with them and it was clearly written of my flat size. I kept on expecting. LICHFL Baguitahi Kolkata branch encashed the Rs.1103/-. They should have checked the documents and then force me to run pillar and post to get my verifications done. Is this a job of the applicant to visit several LICHFL offices to request them to do the verifications and all. I never applied to any other funding institutions with an expectation that something is happening. LICHFL Baguitahi Kolkata branch took more than four months to come with the status. Now I am nowhere. The builder is saying if I don't pay him the balance amount then the contract will be cancelled. I am a several policy holder of LIC. I submitted all documents. I submitted all NOC of my previous loans to show that I am a serious applicant.
I wrote a complaint to the official email ID of Kolkata LICHFL (this ID I got from LICHFL website) on 18th February. I could not able to receive any feedback.
My request to you all concerned why a lending orgainzation takes so much of time to deceide. I will also request you all concerned to kindly let me know how do I get a formal letter from them regarding reasnon of rejection so that I can take appropriate action. They have not also returned my papers after this rejection.
