Fraud & Cheating on Free Gift package on credit card
I received a call on my mobile from a representative ANUJ DESHPANDE of IBL CLUB LEISURE through
Tel. No.011-45738585 on 15.12.2011 stating that you are a privileged customer of AXIS Bank for many years and so from your past record you are provided a 'FREE GIFT PACKAGE OF DISCOUNT HOLIDAY & SHOPPING COUPONS'. i.e. shopping cum travelling card with so and so benefits for one year free of cost without any payment from your side. I repeat that during our conversation at least three times they had confirmed that no payment has to be made from my side and this offer is absolutely free for AXIS Bank Credit Card holders. They provided enough details of mine like my residential address and credit card details by which I was convinced that they had a tie up with AXIS Bank otherwise how can a company working in Delhi can get my data regarding personal details of my credit card. They asked me to confirm my credit card number and CVV code through IVR just for verification. After a few minutes I received a SMS from Credit Card department that my credit card account is debited with Rs.5509/-. As I did not get any communication from CLUB LEISURE I tried to contact them through the telephone number from which they had contacted me.
Thus I feel have been cheated by this company. Lot many times I have tried to contact their cust care no. but it always shows on hold. Now my credit card company has already debited the amount from me. Please do guide me to recover the money.
On going through all these matters I came to a conclusion that a systematic operation of cheating the credit card holders is going on and some of the insiders of AXIS Bank may be helping the fraudsters by providing the data of credit card holders. I request you to take immediate action against the fraudsters and help me out in getting my money recovered.
