Ineffeciencies in resetting Internet Banking Password

I have been requesting for an internet banking password reset for a long time now. But it has not been successful so far. I have wasted a lot of time due to an inefficient bank and its silly rules/ policies. I have been so frustrated that I wont recommend ICICI Bank to anyone.

I recently went to the ICICI BSK branch and asked for my internet password to be reset. The banker informed me that I could do it online through my mobile. I informed him that I had to change my mobile number as it had changed. I placed a mobile number update request with him, but the banker did not tell me that I could not change my internet password for the next 15 days after updating my mobile number. I found it out the hard way when I tried to reset it online. When I placed a request to send the password through mail on 9th March I was told that the password would be received within 7 business days. It is 20th March today and the password has not yet arrived. I called the customer care and they gave a lame excuse that the courier service could not find me at the address. I have been home all the time as I am on vacation and during this time no courier came home. It only reflects how lame the excuse is on ICICI or the courier's part. I even tried calling the Express Zone courier in the last few days to avoid this issue, but they have not been picking up calls. ICICI has wasted my time and God knows how many other people's time just to reset an internet password. The banking experience has been pathetic with them and their Customer service sucks!

This is not the first time I have experienced this. The first time I requested for an internet password, the password did not come to my home and was returned by the courier service. The ICICI Banker in Banashankari (Deepthi) suggested that I authorise the bank and get the password at the BSK branch as it wont be returned. She also suggested that I move the account from M.G. Road branch to BSK so that it can be handled better. I did that on her advise. Few days later, I received the password, and when I tried logging in with it, I encountered an error. When I called the Customer Care, they said that as my account was transferred to BSK branch the internet password woudl have to be generated new again, and only by visiting the branch. How on earth can the internet password be linked to my account location?

Their approach to security with regards to internet passwords is flawed and their customer service just dishes out lame excuses. They even tried to close my request even when I told them that the request was not fulfilled. This kind of service is really not acceptable and wastes time.
