To all my fellow Indians i hope you read this complaint and never ever have any relationship with ICICI Bank and it is my humble request. There are far better may be not as sophisticated banks in this country right from HDFC to State Bank of India.
I have multiple relationships with ICICI Bank right from holding a demat account, to having a savings account to having a credit card and worst of all owing its shares (i hope i can convince my dad to sell them as well).
May be their IT set-up and processes seem the best in the industry, its the biggest joke i have ever seen. Since my complaints are many i will number them so it will be easier for you all to follow
1) Firstly my demat form was collected and the account was not opened for 45 days. Their reply was its misplaced we will open your account within 10 days. My old demat account opening cheque in favour of ICICI bank is still with them i dont given the way they are they might encash it anytime
2) Despite not mentioning anything on the form they issued a debit card to 2nd holder when not requested and charged some amount to me which after repeated follow-ups was reversed.
3) My DOB was captured wrongly on trading form and i couldnt trade for 3-4 days because of that. Its still a mystery how they processed the form if my DOB dint match with the proof i submitted (Pan Card)
4) Dividend Credit i dunno why they did it went to account X while all other charge went to account Y again i dont know why
5) I registered on Bill Pay, on the date when the payment was to be made to utility the status showed failed i had to pay 25 rupees late payment charges
6) Biggest joke is this i wanted to make a payment for my idea bill i couldnt do that for some technical reason. I called their call centre and they made payment on my behalf some 10 days before due date. Now on due date again that amount was debited. Two debits with no accountability what so ever.
These are just some of them the list is just endless. I have sent repeated emails to Chanda Kochar & senior management team all you get is a standard template reply we have received your email we will get back to you in xx days.
Biggest joke is it takes them 20 days to resolve a complaint where it was their mistake.
