Hi,
I am crdit card holder for over 2 years, have never any late fee or finance charges on my account.
This started with one check # 676732 amount Rs 5730/-, this was been given to ICICI Bank by my wife for her credit card a year back.
The bank came up this month after a year saying this is been outstanding. we have spent hours on phone with the bank informing them the amount is already paid using the salary account which is my wife's account.
After many days this got sorted. the same day, i checked my statement at that time this was the outstanding on my account. my wife use her checks to pay off my and her credit card.
we called the bank, started again from the scratch. now they have come up saying, this amount was been paid to my wife's credit card and the same check was also reflecting on my cc. so they have taken back the charges and again they reverted the same in jan and now as this amount was never been outstanding and neither been used but still this has been paid as a payment so this is an outstanding i have to pay.
This bug me and have reached no conclusions.
now, i am attahcing below the response i have from the bank.
According to our telephonic conversation, the cheque (676732) payment has been mistakenly credited twice your credit card account 5176 XXXX XXXX 8006.
The following are the details of the cheque (676732) payment credited to your credit card account:
10/11 CHEQUE PAYMENT RECEIVED, THANK YOU 5730.00CR
01/01 CHEQUE PAYMENT RECEIVED, THANK YOU 5730.00CR
The following are the details of the cheque (676732) debited from your credit card account:
27/11 CHEQUE RETURN 5730.00
03/10 CHEQUE PAYMENT REVERSAL 5730.00
The credit and debit entries got nullified and there is no additional amount debited.
We confirm that, there is no additional amount debited from your credit card account as on October 16.
The following are the details of the payment credited and debited to the credit card account 5176 XXXX XXXX 5003:
27/11 CHEQUE PAYMENT RECEIVED, THANK YOU 5730.00CR
03/10 CHEQUE PAYMENT RECEIVED, THANK YOU 5730.00CR
09/09 CHEQUE RETURN 5730.00
Hence, the cheque (676732) payment for the amount of Rs.5730.00 has been credited to the credit card account 5176 XXXX XXXX 5003 on October 03.
I would like to add, if this amount was never been used by me why there is been reflecting on my account and why i dont get a clear picture about my account. this is simply misleading and i have been harrased by the executive and the bank at all occasions.
Please help this get resolved.
