Iffco-Tokio General Insurance
ITGI Leaking Customer Name, Vehicle details, Policy no. etc via SMS

My Mobile no. 98xxxxxxxx1 has been receiveing unsolicited text messages from TD-IFFCO-TO.

I have reasonable cause to believe that these messages are orginated by the IFFCO-TOKIO GENERAL INSURANCE (ITGI) company.

Each message contains the following confidential information:

Customer name

Vehicle owned by customer

Policy number of the customer

My attempt to reach S NARAYANAN - MD and CEO - failed, as the call centre no. 18001035499 does not allow one to do so: agent "GAURAV" and team manager "MOHAN" are well trained not to provide customer service when one complains. Instead they share further confidential information such as the make/year of manufactur of each vehicle insured!

I would strongly request you to take up the matter of leaking customer information to 3rd parties which is happening from IFFCO TOKIO via SMS.
