I had submitted my PAN card correction request on 5th December at the NSDL center at Sector 26, NOIDA for correction of mine and my Father's name printed on the PAN card and also for correction of my address recorded with the Income Tax authorities, as when I checked the Form 26AS option on one of the bank's websites, my address reads as Sector 2 instead of Sector - 22. The acknowledgement number for this application is 060880100937353. Its been almost a month now and I still have not got my corrected PAN card. When I contacted the IT call center, I was informed that the documents were verified and sent to the Income Tax department on 19th December already and the status shows as pending with the IT department since then.

I am not sure what is happening with this Government department. Is it that these people have become too lethargic to do their work on time? I had also raised a complaint with the call center with complaint number - 389303 and have not got any further communication post that from any of the concerned authorities. This is really unacceptable.
