I have made 3 Purchases on Billing Period 10.02.2010 - 10.03.2010
On 20.02.2010
Uma Medical Rs 14638.00
Big Bazar Rs 329.00
Big Bazar Rs 789.50
Then On the last date of the period On 10.03.2010 there was a BT
Rs 10000.00 payable within 3 months with Rs 220.60 Processing fees
without any interest.
I have paid Two Chq 1) Chq 030958 for Rs 14638.00
2) Chq 370395 for Rs 1500.00
(the second chq to cover Big Bazar purchase and Processing Fees total Rs 1339.10 ie. Rs 160.90 extra)
Now I have been charged interest on Uma Medical, Big Bazar purchases on 20.02.2010 which is prior to the Balance Transfer which I have paid for in the statement due date. Firstly I had no knowledge of such procedure and it on this case appears anti-customer. If I would have not taken any BT you could not have charged interest and the full amount has been paid. And it appears that taking BT was a great loss and punishment has been charged on me. I donot know of such funny rules, if there is such rule that any purchase prior to BT has to paid interest then this is anti-customer and you could have done the BT One day later. I other words I want the interest charges to be reversed. I have Credit Cards of HDFC, ABN Amro, HSBC, SBI but have never seen such rules where you charge interest even after payment has been made.
