Dear Sirs,
I sent a cheque No.783622 dated 22/02 for Rs.20, 000/- from my S.B.Account No.1181932472 in the Central Bank Of India, Juhu Vile Parle Branch, Maharashtra - 400056 in favour of ISKCON Berhampur.
His Grace Pancharatna Das, President of ISKCON Berhampur deposited this cheque in the ISKCON Berhampur S.B. Account immediately on receipt of the cheque at his end.
Even though more than one month has elapsed, the Branch Manager, Central Bank of India, Berhampur has not credited the amount to the ISKCON Berhampur account till date and has been telling some excuse or the other for the delay.
I am an account holder in the Central Bank of India from the year 1964 and I never experienced this kind of abnormal delay in my long experience with this esteemed Bank. I want to know why it takes more than one month for the transfer of this amount
Will please hold an enquiry and let me know what is wrong with the Berhampur Branch and why this kind of abnormal delay takes place in the transfer of fund from Mumbai to Berhampur. The Bank is not doing any free service but is collecting Bank charges for such transfers, even if there is so much delay on their part. Honestly speaking, the Bank should waive Bank Charges and pay interest on such delays, for which the customer is not responsible.
Kindly let me know a line in reply as early as possible, '
Thanking you,
Yours faithfully,
R. Rajaraman
