Gold chain missing from their locke

Hi

We had kept our gold chain which is close to 37grams at Manappuram Gold. And yesterday when we went to take it back they say the chain is missing from their locker and they accept that the mistake is from their side and are ready to pay for the chain as per market price. So my question is should i pay them the loan amt because that was my moms marriage chain and she is emotionally hurt. So can i ask for any compensation. please help me out. They also told me that they had a auditing 3 days back so they doubt if that auditing person would have taken it.

Please tell me what to do
