Poor service!

I stay at Kalyan and I have an account with HDFC Bank Kalyan branch (branch code 194) which support National Electronics Fund Transfer (RBI - NEFT) from any branch. I have transferred funds to and from this branch earlier.

When I tried to transfer some money using the NEFT option in CITIBANK online netbanking, it refused saying that WE CURRENTLY DO NOT HAVE THIS FACILITY TO THIS BRANCH YOU HAVE SELECTED.

Since with RBI - NEFT a bank has to send money to RBI for clearance and then RBI sends money to the destination bank, there is no question of refusing services to a specific branch of a specific bank.

CitiBank is violating RBI rules in India which is not only inconvenient but causes severe problems as I have to transfer the funds using cheques which takes 4 days as opposed to the FASTEST NEFT transfer which takes 1 business day for private to private bank transfer and 3 days for private to nationalized bank transfer.

Citibank officials please look into this and enable NEFT transfers to the KALYAN branch of HDFC BANK otherwise I have to send you a legal notice since the online netbanking says that you can transfer money via NEFT to any bank and any branch.
