Hi,

Recently I moved out of Inida to US. I have been trying to add a new account to my ICICI bank account as a Payee. The customer care executive told me that I need to update my phone number and I can do it at icicibank.com. I went ahead and did that. No effect - I wasnt receiving any of the pass codes. I called the customer care and they told me that the information that I have is not correct and I need to send a copy of identification along with a requisition letter. So far, I have sent 4 copies of it and all of them have been rejected saying there is a signature mismatch. The customer care executive suggested that I should send my debit card to my family in India and update my phone number at an ATM. Worst case - I even tried that only to realise that I cannot update a US based number or any other mobile number that has not been registered with ICICI.

I wrote to customer care already - The reply that I got was - Come and do it in-person. I am completely stumped and disappointed with the service. Please help!
