Said card holder is officer in NABARD, earlier was posted in Bangalore then transferred to lucknow during june
Change of Address information was sent to Credit Card Dept. on 3/6 via letter.
There wasn't reply from the Credit card dept. I used to receive the credit card statement at old address (Bangalore address) which was redirected from Bangalore, Nabard office. In this regard, a message was given over to one Mr. Ajay, during month of October but there was no response.
During January I'd sent a letter to Credit card division, along with my credit card to close the A/C seeking one time settlement. Followed by a cheque bearing number-153303 dated 16/01/07 for Rs10000 drawn on icici bank, alambagh branch, Lucknow.
But there was no reply from credit card division till June. On 23/06/07, I went to draw the cash It was noticed that my entire amount of Rs75492 have been blocked by credit card division from Bangalore.
On enquiry, I came to know that my SB a/c bearing number 031801500495, was completely blocked by Bangalore credit card dept. Icici customer service gave me number of Mr. Paramanand-080-41859047 to contact in this regard.
Before contacting them, I checked that the amount of Rs.10000, drawn in favour of ICICI bank, 22 june via cheque no.186451 was not credited to credit card a/c due to blockage of a/c. When I contacted, Mr. Paramanand, who had alliminated entire amount of Rs75492 towards my credit card dues, without giving prior information to me. Mr. Paramanand said that-ve not received any communication regarding credit card closing. So we're unable to do anything. If you want to operate youre a/c, you have to pay 70000Rs immediately. Against that, we're openingyour a/c for operation.
I expressed about the letter correspondence made by me in this regard. He asked me to send a copy by fax.
Accordingly, I'd sent the copies of letters by fax on 28/06/07 via fax number-080-41859078.But there was no reply from them. Again I contacted the customer service requesting them to take immediate steps to settle the issue void by my request number-29453987 on 29/06/07.
One, Mr. Jai Ganesh, who took this compliant said that icici bank's decision to settle the credit card a/c for Rs.55000 & same will be communicated to you over phone within 7 days. I tried to contact Paramanand over the phone many times, but he didn't respond to the same.
Again, when I went to bank, it was noticed that in amount of Rs75492/- was completely drawn by the credit card department, Bangalore, without seeking the concern of a/c holder or giving any update notice to customer. It Clearly indicates that Icici bank does not maintain secrecy of the holder. Without customer's knowledge, they are with drawing amount from customer a/c. Relevant papers are available with customer in this regard. The same will be produced before the consumer Forum (court) as in when required.
