Airtel has always been on high side of Cheating customers by detecting money from prepaid with out proper guidance or knowledge of customer.
I have 3 Postpaid and 3 Prepaid connections.
Among which i have said Airtel not send any value added services and messages to my number 9902495973 couple of months back.
I have taken a duplicate SIM last month for the said number and since then i have been receiving the below said message and detection of Rs 10 from my account:

Thanks for downloading Hungama Contest Game from Airtel. You have been charged Rs 10. Latest games http://gclub.in browsing @10p/10kb
Would like to make it clear that in all the cases i have not even entered to Airtel Live!!! - Failing to understand how Airtel can deduct money??? seeking explanation...
Concerns here:
a) I received this message and got detected Rs 10/- every time on the dates given below:
- 25th Aug
- 28th Aug
- 2nd Sep 2011
- 9th Sep 2011
b) In all the cases i have not even opened my Airtel Live, Airtel cannot just send SMS and deduct money. Requesting Airtel to prove that i have downloaded any thing.
c) In all the occasions i have spoken to Airtel and got the refund except 9th Sep 2011 deduction.
d) Inspite of leaving a request for not sending these SMS or any other, message was sent and deduction of Rs 10 was made.
e) I called prepaid customer care on 10th Sep at around 11pm, customer care excecutive picked the call and after he was unable to solve my problem he transfered call to Mr Ranjith a floor supervisor.
- Firstly Mr. Ranjith was only focusing on the language which i was speaking with out understanding what amount of frustration a customer is facing due to Airtel. Yes i used couple of slangs which is unlikely to cause offence in most circles. - Please check the voice recording
- He was arrogant and said that you have downloaded, hence refund will not be made. Last times we have made but now we will not refund. Requesting Airtel to Train him more technically
- I had logged complaint last time calling from 9901211553, which is my Airtel post paid connection. Complaint was that Please dont send any SMS like this and deduct money, but keep my Airtel Live active. Mr Ranjith was able to see all the details in Airtels data base that i had barred my incoming calls and outgoing calls and other details, but he was not able to see that i had placed a request long back not to send these services and SMS etc. He was also not able to see that i had made this request even in last week when i called from my number 9901211553.- Requesting to pull out voice recording of last 5 transactions to customer care from my number 9901211553 and 9902495973.
f) Airtel to refund the amount deducted
g) Airtel should keep better and more competent people at supervisor position.
h) This is overall an Integrity issue with Airtel. Not being transparent, falsifying things...
