International Service Check
Beware of What You Are Getting Into

There is a company called International Service Check (www.internationalservicecheck.com) that monitors the service levels of companies like McDonald's through a concept called Mystery Shopping.

Basically what it involves is you pose as a McDonald's customer and measure the service time and service level. Every successful mystery shopping assignment gives you US$ 5.

What you are not told when you choose to become a Mystery Shopper is:

- You will need to spend hours on the Internet (which is paid for by you) preparing and taking tests.

- That after you successfully pass tests, you will be given questions in your Mystery Shopper assignment that have nothing to do with your test. Which means the final assignment has a greater rate of failure (which means a loss of money and time for you).

- That the US$ includes the cost of the food you buy.

- The survey questions are very, very detailed. Which means one error will cost you money, since you have to pay for the food you buy and then will you be paid if your Survey is accepted.

- That if you use an Indian Bank Account to transfer funds through Paypal.com (which the company uses to pay) you will have to pay Rs. 50 as a service charge.

So my recommendation - sign up with internationalservicecheck.com if you wish to spend a lot of your time on the Net and if you are willing to lose money to shop for them.
