I happened to travel from Nungambakkam to R A Puram yesterday with my parents by Autorickshaw. Rates quoted by drivers ranged from 150 to 250. This has been happening for years in Chennai. It is high time the authorities insist on have a check on the same and also introducing Metered rates between two locations in chennai, Any person charging above this needs to be punished.
this atrocity has been going on because most of the autos are owned by policemen/ politicians/ goondas associated with poitical parties. Hope this can be an eye opener and would end such cases.
