I had to leave Qatar in Oct due to job over, I required to do household effects cargo delivery from Doha Qatar to India Thane, I got the quotes from different vendors and selected Bostonlogistics for the cargo delivery. Though they had higher quote but it consisted complete delivery with packing, loading, transport, insurance, customs duty, customs clearance, octroi payment till door delivery complete. The package was complete door to door delivery.
The representative (Harisfiros) came and did the collection and took the cargo on 27 Oct Harisfiros took a big amount, he also said the cargo is loaded in the ship container and is leaving.
I had been following up when the cargo will come and no proper response, last week I received 8 package of the total 66 packages of cargo from TNT and TNT started asking for the octroi, when refused saying it has been paid to the bostoncargo they took back the packages and have sent cc of the notice letter to the earlier level of cargo booking saying they will charge the demurage and other fines.
Today 21 Feb I received call from unidentified person from Qatar saying the cargo was booked in 2 parts for delivery and I should be paying the octroi and also that the remaining cargo will come in 2 more parts. I also noticed now that the date of the bill I paid was one month later i.e. 27 Nov (which now I feel the bostonlogistic was intent to cheat from begining as I had already left Doha on 28th Oct).
