Item theft in Air India Flight

My Wife (Saswati Nayak) and Daughter (Joesa Biswal) traveled on

5th Dec'09 from Newark (EWR), NJ to Frankfurt, Germany on Air India flight AI144

6th Dec-09 From Frankfurt Germany to Delhi India on Air India flight AI120

Out of 4 bag we received 3, being said the 4th one will come on next flight, so log the claim and call us

We logged the claim having claim no 27608

After 2 days the bag came with broken lock and items missing.

The Items are

Nokia N95 cell phone - $499

Brand new Nokia 7100 Black Supernova (not opened from brand new packet bought from cellhut.com) $139

Brand new Diamond ring bought from Kohls - $375

Brand new DKNY ladies watch bought from Macys - $159

Brand New Perfume, bought from Perfumania - $52

Air India customer service is extremely poor to handle this and always saying call us later..

If this will happen, how the passenger will travel and where is the safety factor?? This is really unexpected...
