I would like to share some facts about extremely poor services provided by the FIAT Car Group.
On 27th May I gave my car for routine servicing and overhauling of clutch plate assembly to FIAT authorised workshop.
They took 30 days for minor repair and gave my car back on 27 the June. During this period I contacted Tata Motors (authorised agent for Fiat car in India), Fiat India Ltd, and their parent company at Italy but no body bothered to help me in getting my car repaired timely.
After receiving my car I found that there were some noises from entire car i.e. from its engine as well as body and fuel consumption increased by 50% and some other minor defects and hence I gave my car back for repair immediately. No body bothered to care about my complaint and they returned my car back after 2-3 days without resolving problems.
Till now I have already given my car to authorised workshop for more than 6 times and they kept my car for over 40 days in total and they are not solving the problem in my car.
Interestingly, I got 5-6 mail from Italy (parent company) and 2-3 telephone but they are also not taking any action. All MNCs knew about the weakness of our legal system and hence selling their defective goods in India and ignoring our complaints. They knew that we are helpless and they are exploiting us.
I request all of you not to buy FIAT cars as their after sales service is very poor and reject it.
Now a days FIAT group is advertise aggressively for FIAT LENIA & FIAT PUNTO. I request all of you to circulate this e-mail to all your near and dears so that they can review their decision for buying FIAT cars if they already decided to buy it in view of my experience.
I am a chartered accountant and law graduate and feeling helpless in this situation you can imagine the fate of an ordinary person of India.
