Poor Servive & non availability of spare part

My Ford Ikon was showing over heating for which i took it to NCR Ford Faridabad service center. They changed some fuse and next day handed over the car. Same day the car started heating once again. I was asked to tow my car to gurgaon service center where they changed the fan. After a month i faced same problem. When i took my car to NCR ford, Faridabad, i was told they couldnt repair the car and that i have to tow my car to NCR delhi (Disgusting). I took my car to NCR ford and they said head of my car is damaged (because of shoddy workmanship) and it would cost 45 k. I gave my permission to change the same but now 50 days have passed by and the service center is still waiting to recieve the spare part from chennai where also they say its unavailable (where else then i get spare? why is ford selling car in india if they do not have spare parts?). I wrote back to their president desk, complaining about the poor service and unavailability of the spare. And guess what, i got the reply stating that we are working with our dealer and as soon as they get the spare my car would be repaired.

Bottom Line: " Ford has a major issue with spare part availability and service quality of their dealers despite having gr8 cars ". I would recommend all prospective ford users to stay away from ford cars. Go for the time tested Maruti or Hyundai.
