I purchased a ford fiesta 1.6 L zxi duratec petrol from Cargo Ford in Ahmedabad. I want to get this vehicle registered in Chandigarh as i m presently residing there. But to my horror the chandigarh rto is stating that due to non updation of some "code" pertaining to bharat stage IV vehs by Ford India Ltd, the vehicle cannot be registered there presently. I really dont know what is this "code" which only ford india has not updated with chandigarh rto whereas all other manufacturers supplying stage IV have done so already. Kindly help!
