Astha-8008559453 from gati had promised on 31Oct11 after listenin to entire issue with gati that she accepts it was the agent mistake and Rs1538 (courier charges) already paid will be refunded to me and I have to pay additional Rs 3177 as Octroi charges even though its not my mistake, if I need delivery of my goods from gati. I was forced to pay Rs3000 as Govt Octroi and gati charge me Rs 177 as service taxes on the Octroi and On 2nd nov after calling back to check on refund I was told no refund will be given as it is not gati's mistake. The issue started wen the gati ppl came to collect goods (2boxes 1 suitcase containing docx, old clothes, bags, shoes) from Kondapur, the sender was given a form and told to fill any amount in it as it was only for Insurance purposes, no mention of any other charges apart frm Courier charges were made. When goods reached thane an Octroi amt of Rs 3000 was asked of me to collect the goods.this was because in a declaration form someone wrote an amt of Rs60000, this was confirmed by Sender that he hadn’t entered the amount as Rs 60000 in the form. Also no guidance or information given to sender to fill information or possible octroi charges, usually personal declaration purpose is nevr told as its for Insurance

There were total of 40 calls made over 3 days to Gati thane and hyd branch to resolve the issue by me, no one was ready to escalate the issue, saying it is your mistake. Thane office-Felicia, Savita, courier boy would not release my goods only dropped a mail to the Jubilee hills off, The sender spoke to jubilee hills off many times and was promised that on Sun the goods will be delivered, the issue has been resolved no need for payment. On Monday no goods were recd, the Thane off said they have no info abt waiver, My docket no-471446185

Astha from Gati Head Off (Vigilance) called me to tell me I had to pay the octroi, after listening to my entire issue she said she will speak to her EDC heand Mrs Devraju, ashish Batterywala, Abhijit Biswas and help, she said the Thane team was at fault as they did not send any mail to Hyd HO abt the issue. After numerous follow up calls to her, she called me back and said she has spoken to Kaustubh Mukherjee in Panvel off, he will ensure that 31st I will get the courier, she agreed it was their mistake but still I have to pay Octroi charges and she asked me to message my Bnk acc details for her to refund Rs 1538 (courier charges). Since I had my passport in the courier and had to travel and I was bogged my Mental stress with the constant follow up and lies given by different employees of Gati, I agreed to pay the Octroi as they had delayed my Delivery already (it was sent on 24th Oct). I messaged my acc details to her. After 2 days I called her to confirm on refund, she told me we have decided that it is not our mistake, sender has put Rs 60000 in the form, no refund will be given
