Dear Sir/s

I purchased one Honda Shine on 23.11.2009 at Gudivada, from one of the sub dealers of M/s. SRI KANAKADURGA HONDA, VIJAYAWADA. The bill was given by the above dealer at Vijayawada. The owner’s manual was handed over to me after nearly one and half months stating that the book did not reach them from the main dealer till then. Immediately after receiving the book I sent my vehicle for the first service and the service people at Vijayawada refused to do the first free service since the required period for submission was lapsed by then. Even after being advised by the people from Gudivada also, they refused to give the first service and they cut the 2nd service coupon for doing the 2nd service, as the first service. When I sent my son to collect the vehicle in the evening they have charged for engine oil change (by that time I have run the vehicle for around 500 kms only) and delivered the vehicle. After getting the vehicle at my house I observed that the vehicle is not even water washed because the water soaked mud stains on the vehicle are still in their place after the service. They did not do any service at all. I telephoned them and queried about the same. They replied that it is serviced. Due to work pressure I could not go personally and do anything about it.

On 2nd April’10, I gave the vehicle for the third service (second service in real) – JOB CARD NO. 10JC00037 – at 9.00 am. When I telephoned the service centre on 1st April, they advised me to bring the vehicle at 8.30 am, but they came at 9.00 am for opening the centre, making me wait for half an hour, by giving me wrong time. My vehicle was the 4th one in the order of collection for servicing and they advised me that the vehicle will be ready latest by 6.00 pm. and they will make a phone call by then. After waiting till 6.00 pm for the phone call, which I did not receive, I went to the service centre at 6.00 pm.

I queried for delivery of the vehicle. They searched for the job card from the file and and could not find the card. They queried elsewhere and informed that it is coming. They dragged till 7.00 pm and finally the vehicle came from the upper floor and they smooched the vehicle with a cloth, giving me the feeling that they are drying the water stains. When I checked the vehicle, ALAS, THE VEHICLE WAS NOT AT ALL WATER WASHED, showing the dirt stains on the tyres and the entire body, as they appeared on the vehicle before being given for service. When I showed them the same, they said, don’t worry sir we will do the same now and they washed the vehicle before by own eyes and applied some grease and gave the vehicle after making me wait for the vehicle for on hour. I was standing there, because there was not even space for sitting. WHAT A CUSTOMER CARE?

The horn switch is not working and they did not replace it and I asked for the same. They said it is not covered under warranty. A GIANT INTERNATIONAL COMPANY refuses to replace a small part, costing less than Rs. 100/- within four and half months after purchase. Really saddening to note.

I dropped a written complaint in the box, because the service manager was not available for complaining personally and I have to wait for one more hour, if I have to meet him personally. The next day I received a phone call from Mr. Saleem, Service Manager, enquiring as to what happened and I explained every thing to him. He tried to bluff me that the vehicle is serviced and when I said that the supervisor also saw the dust stains and all and the vehicle was washed before my eyes, he regretted the lapse and advised me to meet him personally when I give my vehicle for the next service. He also promised me to replace the horn switch within 4 days, which also did not take place till now.

REALLY A SAD STATE OF AFFAIRS. The company is simply giving back the vehicles without doing any service at all, simply by applying some grease and charging for engine oil change.

SOMEBODY FROM PARENTAL JAPAN CARE TO STRAIGHTEN THE AFFAIRS, SINCE, I HEARD, THE JAPANESE ARE SUPPOSEDLY THE BEST SERVICE GIVERS.

LET US SEE WHETHER THEY ARE ANY DIFFERENT!!!
