Mostly I seen the below Tatkal clause is the jackpot for TT/Railway and big pain for passengers. Hence this point should be modified by providing the alternate solution to the passenger.
My question is, if the passenger is booked the ticket with his ID number for 4 person and paid full money and unfortunately fail to journey, how it will be consider as without ticket for rest of the passengers. And one most impotent note is that, there is no alternate ID proof option available on reservation form. So I believe this below tatkal point is not sensible.
‘’’’“e. If the passenger whose identity card number is indicated on the ticket is not traveling, all other passengers booked on that ticket, if found traveling in train, will be treated as traveling without ticket and charged accordingly.”’’’
