This is in reference to my visit in your dealership in Chandigarh by the name of Auto Pace Network Pvt Ltd. Industrial area Ph 1 Chandigarh and complaint to Maruti vide complaint No. 5951232892.
We went for our insurance renewal for my Maruti 800 (CH 03L 3238) in the name of Mrs. Sushila Devi Rawat as vehicle's insurance was expired on 5th Jan'10
The Executive initiated for the survey of the concerned vehicle after taking the old Insurance Policy from me (which was done by Tricity Auto) After the Survey he told us that the amount will be approx 3100/- on which we agreed.
We have given the blank cheque vide cheque no 040003 of Punjab National Bank, sector 26 Chandigarh duly signed by my Mother although the amount, date and payable to whom was not been mentioned in the cheque.
We kept on sitting in the dealership for almost 2-3 hours for the insurance policy. No one came to us other than the Chai Wala. We ourselves approached the insurance department which is on the top floor of the dealership as guided by the receptionist. There we met with one fine gentleman who told us that it will take some time as the policy is pending for approval from Maruti.
He said that he will deliver the policy at our place in late evening and till the time the cheque was still lying with him. We asked him the exact premiunm amount and he told us that he dont know the exact amount right now as the policy is pending for approval. We clearly told him that before making the policy he have to tell us the exact amount and we also need the photocopy of the Cheque (as it was a blank cheque)
At 6.48 PM dated 11.01.2010 we received the call from 0172-4699993 stating that your policy has been done of Rs 3791/- We told him that we don't need that policy as this is a breach of trust (as earlier it was 3100/- and now it is almost 3800/-) and we want our cheque and old insurance back at that time.
We asked for the clarification and he told us the difference is for 100% cashless facility offered by the dealership.
He refuse to do so and told us that we have to pay Rs 500/- as cancellation charges and when we told him that we will complaint the matter to the higher authorities and he told us " SIR HUN TUSI COMPLAINT HI KAR LO" (first you do the compliant now)
Kindly help us to get our old Insurance Policy and Cheque back.
