I along with my family is currently travelling in 2429 Rajdhani Express of 5th August (departure from Bangalore to H Nizamuddin). Since early morning today (6th August), it has been raining outside. One of the seat where my parents were seated (A1 - 13), the rain water started dripping from the ceiling and the entire berth (including the upper berth) was totally wet and it was such an inconvenient for him for almost 6-7 hours till now that he couldn't sit/relax well. Temporarary arrangement was made but it did not solve the problem.
The prestigious train such as Rajdhani Express has compartments of such pathetic condition. As a tax abiding citizen of India I feel very sad at this state of condition. We are trying to progress in each and every field but Railways is taking India backward and if we have a rail minister who is only bothered to claim her chief ministership in next state assembly that she is bending all rules of the government and therefore railway board and the chief of maintenance is having a good time as they are not bothered to look after the maintenance of coaches and it is not worth the money we spend on tickets and comfort and such a plight of passengers and coaches is not at all acceptable.
I am sending this message connected to internet sitting on the train. And I feel ashamed to compare the progress done by India in the field of Technology with that of the plight of Railways in India.
I am currently not in a position what would be the quantum of claim for compensation for this inconvenience caused to my parents, but would do so only after I receive a favourable reply from this forum.
