Hi,

I bought Indian Railway Smart card to buy local train tickets through AVTM in St. Thomas Mount Station. After few months the AVTM machine is not working in all the stations.

Later when the AVTM resume working i tried to took ticket from the AVTM machine it shows a message that "Your card in Invalid". I have sufficient amount in that card and the validity period expires due to not using the card in the past 6 months that is also due to the AVTM machine not working.

When i ask the officer, he told me that your card is invalid not able to recharge. so you need to buy a new card and also not able to surrend the old card.

He itself don't know what to do if the card validity expries. Please help me how to recharge my card.

Also advise railways department to educate the officer about the smart card process.
