Me and my wife boarded Indigo flight no. 6E 282 from Chennai to New Delhi on 24 Feb. Our PNR was Y245BG. We were sitting on seat no. 12A and 12B. There was a group of 3 co-passengers sitting on 11A, 11B and 11C. The guy sitting on 11B was continuously gazing shamelessly at my wife. To avoid any embarrassment on board, my wife didn’t report the matter to the cabin crew. But when we landed she refused to go in the bus coach till the Arrival point, since that irritating fellow was also there. We reported the matter to the Ground Force and requested them to drop us to the Arrivals by a private vehicle of airline.
Thereafter in hope of some action, the matter was reported to one of officer Mr. Amil/Mr. Amin (please pardon me for incorrect name spellings; I could not understand that properly; He is a short height guy for added ease in identification). He was informed of the situation by your Ground Force near the aircraft (through walky-talky) and by us too when we reached the Arrival Hall. He assured us that he will take the accused to task. But we were astonished when we saw that passenger moving out of the airport uninterrupted with all the smiles on his face. I fail to understand what stopped your Officer from taking action even after being in full authority and control.
Quite disillusioned by the improper handling of the matter by your Airport Staff, to report the entire matter we called up your Call Centre Number 09910383838 where executive told us that he could not entertain any complaints on phone. On being informed the gravity of concern, later he connected me to one of his supervisors, to whom the entire series of events was reported over the phone of which she made a note of and assured me that certainly an appropriate action would be taken in this entire episode.
This matter should make you aware of the ground realities of not only what happens within flights but also how your staff handles the matter even after being informed well in time.
