I have recently booked my household items from chennai to New Delhi. The persons from the respective company keeps talking to me frequently for the order I have to give them for shifting. On the day of packing they confirmed that the charges they provided includes proper professional saftey packing from our house in as-is-where-is condition, loading in chennai and unloading, resetting of bed, almerah, refrigerator and other major items of the same in New delhi. The way they talked and pleased me was so good. They promised me that they will bring their own company staff to unload in my house.
But once the vehicle reached our house in delhi, on seeing the condition of the stuffing in the truck, I was shocked and my heart beat was chattering for a long time. I found that the truck driver has taken some cooley from the nearby local area and unloading the stuff in my house. Even though I have paid the money in advance, he was demanding money for unloading charges and kept all the things in a bad shape and left. I found the godrej almerah was crushed and neither it could open or it is closing properly. I found lot of dents and broken at various places. Similarly many of the storage baskets of groceries are totally broken into pieces. The strange part is the wooden top of the dining table is in broken condition.
The response from the company was very disturbed. I find that they booked the materials through an unkown truck driver not on their own. The driver was demanding money only and he is not listening to any of the problems I as stuck. All our family were in a embrassed situation. The ultimate sufferer is me.
The loss is me money and my things.
