I took 9W2216 from Bhopal to Delhi with my 2.5 months old child. We had a infant ticket for him. His stroller was booked at the aircraft gate and I was told that it will be available at the gate of aircraft at terminal-3 of delhi airport.
When the flight arrived, I was surprised not to find the stroller there. I have a graco travel system as per UK USA airlines standard. My baby who weighs 6kg was sitting comfortably in his car seat on board (weight of the car seat would be approx 3kg)
I asked the airline staff about my stroller as I had a complicated C-section delivery and is not suppose to lift heavy weights (the total in this case would be 9 2kg bag containing baby's stuff). The staff bluntly replied that nothing can be done and I need to walk till Arrival hall. They did not even offered help with the weight.
Somehow I reached the hall and I was in heavy pain till then. I found the stroller lying near one of the belt and no one was there to guard it even. I reassembled the stroller and to add to my agony one of the wheel was badly damaged and the stroller was not able to ride by itself. I went to the customer service section but the lady over there Ms. Usha (who was handling baggage queries) was very very rude and did not entertain my request for a replacement. She was even reluctant to write my complained. Finally after several arguments I wrote everything in the complained register and took a receiving with her signature and the stamp of duty manager.
I had a flight to London next day and had to buy a new stroller which cost me around Rs.10, 000. I am still not been able to recover from the pain of lifting weight. I want proper redressal to my complaint.
