Hi, I chose K&Y Packers and Movers (a reportedly ISO 2000 certified company) to help move my goods from Delhi to Bangalore. My first priority was to ensure that the goods reached within 7 days and in good condition. They charged me 95, 000 for the same. One Mr Satish Kumar Khanak is their agent. He is a total fraudster. They assured me that the delivery would be done in 5 days. I was told that the entire truck would be booked for me. It would start at my place and would directly reach my house in Bangalore. The truck left my home on 27th December and my travails started then. I paid 70% upfront of which 50% was in cash. He took the money and just disappeared with no contact whatsoever.
I was desperate and was contemplating calling the police when Satish picked up the phone after 8 days to inform us that the truck was stuck in Hyderabad and they would not be able to move it till we cleared the rest of the 30% immediately. We stuck to our ground and said that we will pay the rest of the amount only when the things arrived. Finally after threatening, negotiating and shouting, the things arrived on 9th January. The driver demanded Rs 2000 in cash to unload as he said that Satish will not pay him. The unloaders demanded another Rs 5000 to unload as Mr Satish will not pay them either. Finally, my things were unloaded and then started my second round of troubles. My brand new sofa was completely damaged and so was my crockery shelf. There were deep scratches on my fridge. When we told Mr Satish that he had to at least repair broken things he refused completely. Now he is badgering us for the rest of the 20% (we paid the rest to the driver and the unloaders) saying that he is yet to pay these people.
The amount of mental trauma I faced with this company is unexplainable. They are rude, uncouth and total frauds. My things arrived in a truck which had a different number to the one that left my house. I request that these guys should be jailed for cheating consumers who have to ultimately pay the price.
