I have booked a self parcel transport at kannur parcel office with my travel ticket. the clerk noted down all my travel details and PNR and gave a receipt. but finally at the end he told it wil be sent a day earlier, not in the train which am going to travel. but my grievance is why we should pay the fine / damarage charges at the collection station since it reached earlier to me, where in case i was not able to send the receipt even by courier within 24 hrs.
