I wanted to bring to the attention of all the bad service experienced by me and my family on March 7 by Kolkata Cabs.
I had made a booking for a cab at 7:30 pm through makemytrip.com, which is a very reputed travel solution provider. The booking was made on Feb 15.
When I actually landed in the airport, huge misery was awaiting me. There was no booth to present the slip, no cab, and no service.
When I called the number provided in the booking slip after running around in confusion for 1 hr, the person who picked up the phone could neither speak well in English or Hindi. What would have happened if I couldn't speak Bangla?
After much trying I could make him understand the purpose of my call. Before that he kept on saying no booking can be made. He checked for half and hour but could not get our booking ID. He kept on saying we have no bookings made with this number.
Finally, he found our booking in an e-mail, but said that no cab was assigned to us; but we would get an sms in 10 mins. The 10 mins became half hour and still we got no sms.
We roamed around and booked a taxi at double the rate and finally reached home after 4-5 hours. Stills no sms...
This is the worst that I have experienced with any cab service provider. I have used several cabs and their service have been spot on (with the sms reaching 2 hrs before and the driver reporting and calling 15 mins before time).
