I booked a Honda Unicorn on 26th of September @ Maansarovar Honda - Velacherry - Chennai. When asked for an evaluation of my old bike (2003 model Pulsar) the engineer said a exchange value of Rs.12, 000/- can be considered and did not mention any disclaimer for the quotation provided
Today when we went to pay the full sum of Rs.61, 055 (excluding the Rs.12, 000 exchange sum and Rs.1000 advance), they changed their words and said the exchange amount for old bike can only be Rs.9000/- and not 12, 000/- as assured. The reason they cited was that its been 3 months since the bike was last evaluated and this is the current price
Either they should have said no evaluation during booking / before the vehicle is delivered and gone ahead with Rs.9000/- for evaluation else they should have kept their words of Rs.12, 000/- for the old bike. Saying something initially & changing words after sometime. Never did I expect this kind of a customer relation from a reputed firm like Honda.
Even when we raised an issue on this, no genuine answer was given why Rs.3000/- was discounted from the initial evaluation. No manager or supervisor attended to our issue and everyone were just attending to new customers. This experience from their sales dept made me feel to rethink my whole nice perspective on Honda. The customer's concern was never empathized by the sales department
With no other option I had to cancel my booking and get back all the sum I paid back from them for which they happily nodded. Wish Honda improves their customer relation going forward and someone from their sales department lends their ear to this issue
