Self Start Problem

Hi

We have purchased Mahindra duro 125 DZ two wheeler from you (P.B. Motors, Tilak road Pune) on the auspicious day of “Akshay tritya” i.e. April 24th. Two wheeler was delivered at home from your sales executive viz. “Mr. Sushil Patil”, from the day we have purchased the two wheeler it is giving us more problem than comfort.

I have purchased this vehicle for my wife’s comfort, as she is new to the Pune city and she needed a vehicle to go office. From the day we have purchased we are facing problem with the self start function. We are not able to self start the vehicle, yes we know how to do self start using clutch (any one of the break) half pressed and then press the self start button. My wife faced trouble several times and one day vehicle was dead on traffic signal, and she missed one very important appointment. She called P.B. Motors Office and the mechanic came and took the bike with him saying he will fix the problem and return the vehicle within a day. After fixing (so called fixing) the problem he returned the vehicle and it was working fine for few hours and later again we faced the same problem. That day when Mr. Sushil came he came up with the Gate pass and asked us to sign it as bike was in workshop for repairing.

We called Mr. Sushil patil again, he came up with the mechanic and took the vehicle with him and gave us the assurance that they will fix this issue this time for sure and if we face any further issue call him any time and he will come and take the bike and fix it.

My wife one night she was returning from office and bike didn’t started after many failed attempts even trying to start from kick. She called Mr. Sushil and this time he came with another mechanic Mr. Dhananjay and took the bike and gave her another demo bike stating they will keep the bike with them for few days to analyse what is the issue. They returned the bike after six days saying they called Mahindra R&D team to look into the issue and finally they have fixed the problem.

They gave us bike with a breakage, a crack on the front panel, for which Mr. Sushil said he will replace it when we get the bike for first servicing.

The very next day that is today (about an hour ago), my wife was coming from office in the night and she was not able to start the bike again, neither with self start nor with the kick.

After first time, every time when bike was broke, and they took it to the workshop they didn’t gave the challan or any gate pass to sign, they told us that bike’s registration number is not yet generated so no Gate pass or chalan/receipt, while at first time you guys came up with the gate pass and asked us to sign it. Is this your procedure or you were just covering up for this?

So I am sending this email right now because we have faced a lot of trouble instead of comfort after buying MAHINDRA DURO. We are totally frustrated with the bike, so we don’t want the bike at all.

Please let us know the process, we want to return this bike and we will buy some other Better two wheelers from any other better Company. I will come to your office tomorrow morning to discuss and close this topic.
