Inadequate service

My Scorpio has done about 27000 Km and was purchased on the 25th Jan from Global Gallerie, Thane.

Initially, the services at Mahindra workshop at Kolshet, Thane, were just about adequate. However, I, unfortunately came across an advisor Mr Sayyed who was given the responsibility of my car on the 02nd October when I gave the car for routine maintenance. All the problems had been explained and given in writing to Mr Sayyed but when I took the vehicle back, I was not only shocked to observe that almost none of the problems were addressed and the car was returned to me after charging me almost Rs. 4900/=. I complained about the un-resolved problems to the manager the very next day and I got my car back to the workshop for the un-resolved problems on the 08th Oct. This guy Mr Sayyed was confronted and he not only refused to accept that he was at fault but also demanded that the car should have been at the workshop for 2 days minimum for proper servicing and could not explain why was I charged the amount if he did not do the job. He was also very rude and absolutely not ready to accept his faults which the manager witnessed, acknowledged and apologized. The advisor, Mr Sayyed remained non-courteous and defiant. He displayed no regrets about his attitude and no repentance for the hardship and delays I suffered due to his in-competence, even after I paid. He cared the least when the manager tried to highlight his mistakes.

Problems which were reported and not attended:

1. Wiring check was charged but my problems remained as it is, which included a fused brake light

2. Micro Hybrid system was partially working before the routine servicing and now it has stopped working completely and requires a re-visit to the workshop

3. Aft right power window not working as the motor is defective and now I am awaiting the motor to be changed in warranty since the workshop does not have the motor in stock.

4. Aft A/C vent cover was misaligned and required to be dismantled and re-fitted. The lips are now damaged and gives a very shabby look as the job was probably attempted to fit in place by force without dismatling the entire cover. The area was not even cleaned after the shabby job.

5. A rattling sound near the steering due to loose A/C pipes under the bonnet was reported as a recurring problem and it is still the same.

6. The co-driver seat had play and it was left unattended with the play as it is. When confronted Mr Sayyed said "itna play toh rahega hi..iska kuchh nahi ho sakta" when asked why he did not say this when the problem was reported, he just said "car ko do din ke liye chhord kar jaiyye... sab theek kar dunga"

I still do not understand what job in the above list could not have been done from morning till evening and required the vehicle to be kept in the workshop for at least 2 days.

My recommendation, Mr Sayyed, Advisor, Mahindra Workshop, Kolshet, Thane, Maharashtra, should be relieved of his duties and given some other responsibility where he does not interact with the clients as the workshop will get a bad name because of unsatisfied clients due to his in-competence and attitude.
