I Mr. Prasanna Anant Sawant located at 1/2, Pedekar Manzil, Sarvodaya Nagar, J.M Road, Bhandup (W) – 400 078, owner of the vehicle Maruti AStar VXI, details are as follows:-

We have purchased the above mentioned vehicle from ‘Fort Point Automotive (Cars) Pvt. Ltd.’ located at Pataskar Eclat, Next to Axis Bank, Anand Nagar, Ghodbunder Road, Thane (W) – 400 607 dated 15.10.2010 vide Invoice No. 1188.
At the time of purchase we were offered car insurance by the above mentioned dealer’s sales consultant Mr. Dhawal S. Thakkar Mb. 98704 44771/ 99878 35199 from the ‘The New India Assurance Co. Ltd.’ on the following terms :-
1) We were assured that in case our car met’s with an accident, we will be provided the towing vehicle service from the Maruti dealer near by the accident spot, and if we arrange the same from our side we will be compensated @ Rs, 1, 500/- from the Maruti dealer.
2) Also we were assured that we will not have to pay even a rupee i.e. cashless insurance will be provided at the cost of the Maruti dealer.
Our vehicle had met with an accident dated 13.02.2011 at 05.30 am at Chiplun (Mumbai – Goa Road). We had arranged the damaged vehicle from accident spot i.e. Chiplun to Ratnagiri i.e. to the authorized Maruti dealer ‘Jagrut Motors’ located at D – 25, MIDC, Mirjole, Ratnagiri – 415 639, at our own cost which amounted to Rs.7, 500/-, which is not been compensated to us till now. We have left our vehicle at the Jagrut Motors workshop located as above with Mr. Prashant Morye - insurance claim co-coordinator & work’s manager at 13.02.2011 at 6.00 pm.
As per the discussion made with Mr. Prashant Morye, It was decided that our vehicle would be repaired within 3 months from the date of surrender of vehicle at the workshop.
He also demanded some papers which we have submitted to him on dated 17.02.2011 as follows:-
1) RC Book (Original)
2) Insurance Cover Note (Original)
3) FIR made with the local police authorities (Original)
4) **License of the driver (Original)
** At the time of accident we have lost our original driving license due to which we were unable to submit you the same on time. We have submitted the after one month i.e. in the month of March.
After the submission of all the required documents Mr. Prashant Morye has not taken any initiative in passing our insurance claim. Mr. Prashant Morye was of the opinion that our claim would not be passed from the insurance company, he assured us that he would do so if we pay him Rs. 25, 000/- for the passing of claim. Also he has demanded a deposit of Rs. 60, 000/- for commencement of the job i.e. repairing of the vehicle, due to which we have to comply all the procedures regarding the insurance claim, from our side.
Our person Mr. Saket Sawant has also visited the dealer Jagrut Motors thrice from the surrender of vehicle. We have already completed the procedure in the month of May & still we are not intimated about the insurance claim procedure.
So, please do the favour of looking into this matter seriously & get our vehicle repaired soon, as it causes a lot of inconvenience to us.
