I have had a bad experience with Megacabs in the past where they cancelled my taxi without bothering to inform me. I missed my flight on that ocassion.
On 2nd Dec'10 again, I thought of giving Megacabs a try but to my dismay I had a worse experience this time.
I booked a taxi for Thane to Domestic Airport at 8:00 am. Booking Reference No: B000055. Till 7:30am I got no sms, so I had to call to check the status. Nobody called to inform of the cancellation but when I called the lady had no clue of the booking as well. I was asked for all my details again & they confirmed booking of taxi at 7:45am. After that another lady called me at 8:00 am from 911140531611 stating different reasons for the cancellation. Taxi Breakdown was cited as the reason & when I asked for a compensation, she said that the taxi was on the way but will take time. She has also taken down my complaint & compensation request verbally for which she was to provide a complaint number which I am still awaiting. The way she spoke (arrongantly) is also not expected from Megacabs.
I was been informed by the call centre that if I cancel the taxi I have to pay Rs.100 as penalty. So for this uninformed cancellation from their side which has put me in deep problems, I hereby demand a compensation.
I sent a mail to them and a reminder as well but have got no response.
Please advice me in this case as I want to take it up strongly with them
