I am a officer working in Cabinet Secretariat, New Delhi. I went to a petrol pump M/s Kapoor Auto Service at Patparganj (near Fire Station), Delhi-92 which is a dealer of Indian Oil Corporation on 06.11.2010 and asked the attendant to fill petrol for Rs.200/- in my motor bike. The attendant started filling the petrol and then abruptly stopped it. Somehow, I could not look at the reading on the meter. However, from my past experience of getting petrol filled at various petrol pumps, I felt that the attendant took much less time in filling the petrol for Rs.200/- as compared to the same being done at other petrol pumps. Therefore, I looked at the fuel meter on my bike and found that the amount of petrol filled was much less than what is available for Rs 200/-. I immediately called the supervisor and pump manager and told them the whole story. They readily accepted that the attendant had committed a mistake and filled additional petrol for Rs.130/- in my bike. When I told them that I am going to lodge a complaint with IOC, they started apologizing to me and assured me I will never face again this problem at their petrol pump. As I had a similar experience at this petrol pump some time back, I have decided to file this complaint. After the earlier experience, I had stopped taking petrol pump and this was only the second time that I took petrol from there. Further, I have found on internet that many other people have filed complaint against this particular pump for supplying less quantity of petrol. I would request you to forward this complaint to the concerned authority in IOCL and also keep me informed about that.
