M/s Mahindra,
I have purchased ‘Mahindra XYLO- D2, Reg. No: TN 49, AJ 1165, REG NAME: T.K. Srinivasan in the month of May. When I had taken delivery from M/s. India Garage, Chennai, I was really happy with their service and the grand manner of delivery of car. On this regard, earlier an appreciation was e-mailed to you. Now my car has earned only 6000 km. But now I am really frustrated with your after sales service.
When my car had earned 5000 km, I have given the vehicle for First service at M/S.Siva Automobile (Trichy) in the month of August. That time floor mat available at driver’s side was missing. But I noticed after sometimes later in a busy schedule. Hence I ignored it.
Soon after service my car is started pulling on Right hand side when the vehicle attains the speed of 80 kms/hr.
First week of this month (Oct’2011) I noticed oil leak from the engine portion. So immediately I contacted the local dealer helpline & Mahindra National helpline. They asked me to move the vehicle to M/S.Siva Automobiles (Trichy). The appointment time was 10.00am. Accordingly, I was there to time. But, no one responded me for 45mins. Later they moved the vehicle into the Service area for inspection without giving any acknowledgement. Only after the request the acknowledgement was given. In the evening informed that the oil leak was due to defect in the ‘Engine oil pressure switch’ After hearing that I was surprising about your product quality since a safety device had failed within three months of service. When asked to replace the part in warranty, they replied that part is not available and will take one week to collect the new part.
I was in anticipation for the information from M/s. Siva Automobiles (Trichy) regarding the receipt of the spare. They never called. Whenever we ask for status, simply replying the same always to wait till next week. This type of poor response and attitude give very bad image of service.
I have cars of other brand but I never experienced this kind of bad service. This ‘Mahindra XYLO- D2’, car is simply idling in our parking for the past 3 weeks and hence now I feel sorry for having spent money for a car with poor reliability. Also not able to imagine what would be the fate if it had purchased for a ‘Travel cab’ or ‘Taxi’ purpose. I am sorry to express my feelings why this new vehicle was purchased when I am not able to use even in emergency during last 3 weeks.
In all probabilities it is emphasized to arrange for immediate action by Your good offices. It will be more appreciable if You communicate the plan of action in this regard.
