Dear Sir/ Ma'am,
I own a White Maruti 800 AC 2004 model fitted with original BRC LPG Kit.i have never had any. On 16 May 10 my car just stalled and wouldn't start. On getting checked it was found that the fault was electrical related to wiring. Not taking any chances i got the car towed to 'My Car Service Centre' at pune being the nearest Maruti Authorised service centre. The fuel was more than full in the tank as i had just got the tank topped up. They kept the car for three days and on 19th afternoon gave me the car in following condition:
(a) Front Grill was lose and a screw missing.
(b) The fuse box was hanging and the fuses were shabbily fitted.
(c) The Gas kit would not work.
(d) Grease marks all over the bonnet.
(e) Fuel tank was at half mark and the vehicle had done more than 100 kms while in the workshop.
For this i was charged Rs 1756/- (out of which Rs 1400/- is labour charges!! or for the grease job on the bonnet -i should say!). I immediately went back to the centre and met the Dy Gen Manager Mr Nagral. He was quite helpful and saw that my complaints were genuine and tried to get them rectified. I also asked for the job card and wanted to meet Mr Sachin (supervisor) who had checked the car. The job card was never found (just one day old!!) and Mr Sachin said he didn't check the car before delivery as he was on leave!!! They somehow got my car fixed (without any explanation regarding the fuel or the missing job card) but by the time I reached home I realised that the car was not able to pick up and also the gas kit was not functioning as earlier and i had to shift the fuel switch manually. I again contacted My Car and they sent a rep (electrician) to do the job and after an hour of sight seeing the engine compartment he said that the wiring were old and required replacement which they should have checked when the car was with them for three days!!! The end result is that the problem stays and "My Car" needs to be pulled up. I don't know what action can be taken against this centre as to avoid others getting into their web. I am left with no choice but to look for a Service Centre who can genuinely work on my car. These guys actually take us customers for a ride!!! Can any thing be done- please advise.
