I had booked Ford Figo on 20 May at Talera Automobiles Ltd Pune, at Nigdi Showroom by giving the deposit booking amount. I was assured the delivery in 1 month.
On 9th June I was intimated that the Car was available for delivery and that I should deposit the entire amount ie the price of the car, Insurance money and also money for expenditure for registration. I deposited the money on 15 June.
Further, I had also deposited papers required for registration at the RTO office.
I was told that the delivery would be made on friday 18 June.
On 18 June, evening I was told that the delivery was not possible as formalities at RTO could not be completed and I should collect the vehicle on 19th June.
On 19th June I was told that delivery of vehicle was not possible as it was Saturday and I should take the delivery on Monday 21 June.
On 21 June Monday when I called up the showroom at 11.15 AM to remind about the delivery of the Car, I was told that they would get back to me.
Since I did not get any call till 3.00PM (1500 Hrs), I had to ring back again to check the status.
3.00PM (1500 Hrs), I was told that they had forgotten about completing the formalities of RTO and other related to the delivery of the Car.
I was also told by Neelesh, the Sales Manager, that he could not do anything it was my luck.
At around 5.30pm Neelesh rang back again appolojising for the incidence and said that I should come and collect the Car at Nigdi showroom by end of the day.
At about 7.30 PM when I was about to enter the showroom, I recived a call from talera Automobiles Ltd stating that I should carry mini statement of IDBI bank to take the delivery of the Car as they were not sure if the cheque was credited or not.
On telling that, this information should also be available with the Accounts dept, and in case of any issues with the bank I should have been intimated earlier and not when, I got the reply that they had no updated information on the issue. I also said that my bank statement and mini statement cannot be made public to every person who wants to see it.
Finally after getting irritated by series of such issues and replies from sales and accounts team, I decided not to take the delivery of the Car.
This was the most pathetic treatment I had got in my life. The harassment by team of Talera Ford has given me a Mental trauma
