Dear Mr. Sawant,

Thank you for your email of January

23.

Firstly, I regret the inadvertent typo

error in the email dated January 13, sent by my colleague, Mr. Atul

Kadam.

The amount to be compensated remains

as INR 2, 700, calculated at (03kgs * 900 INR), as mentioned in the

earlier email dated January 09.

However, I thank you for accepting our offer. We would request you to advise

the name of the person on whose the cheque is to be prepared in India and

the details of the person (address with pin code, telephone number, bank

account details in India) so as to enable us to initiate the processing

of cheque for the amount of INR 2, 700.

May we also request you to please revert with the above details within

the end of the month, following which we will not be liable to process

any claims thereafter.

Thank you once again for communicating

with us.

Sincerely,

Sameer Naimpalli

Dear Mr. Sachin Sawant,

I am in receipt with your email dated on

12th Jan.

I am in complete understanding of your

pain in following up with our baggage unit firstly for the bag and then

for the compensation amount and therefore would like to apologize to you

for all the mishap. It is with great regret i inform that despite our best

efforts for the search of your missing bag on the global tracker 'world

tracer' system, we have yet been unsuccessful. In view of the time we

have to settle the claim as per the compensation guidelines

I completely agree that your loss would

be more than the compensation amount what we have offered, but it will

be prudent for me to inform you that globally all airlines settle baggage

irregularity claims by virtue of weight loss and not by the value of content.

This is a standard process to determine an appropriate compensation measure,

which in your case is 9kgs @ 900INR (i.e. 20usd@45inr ROE) = 8100 INR.

We regret we will not be in position to

accede your request for compensation, as suggested by you. We once again

apologise for the inconvenience caused and notwithstanding this unfortunate

incident.

Sincerely,

Atul Kadam.

Dear Mr. Atul,

This is inform you that the cost of the valuble item is more than 12000

Indian Rs. (Total worth of 1500 RMB.)

More than the cost it is emotional loss for me as these were the presents

for family members. Secondly I was told that the baggage had been located

and will be sent in one or two days at my home address. For that I spend

much more time and energy to follow it.

At present I don't have any bill to produce as those I haven't carried

with me but I expect to approve the same by Jet airways.

Please do the needful to settle down this matter on priority.

Thansk and regards,

Sachin sawant

Dear Mr. Sawant,

This is further to our letter dated 7th

Jan from Baggage Services Unit.

May we assure you that we have checked

all possible areas at our end but regret to confirm that your missing bag

has not been traced as yet. In keeping with the laid down procedures (based

on the IATA regulation) the compensation for the lost baggage amounts to

INR 2700/- calculated at (03kgs * 900inr).

We would request you to advise the name

of the person on whose the cheque is to be prepare in India & the details

of the person (address with pin code, telephone number, bank account details

above said amount.

Dear Mr. Sawant,

At the very outset we would like to thank

you for your valuable time in communicating with us and are disappointed

to note the inconvenience caused to you due to your missing baggage when

you travelled from Hong Kong to Mumbai on Jet Airways flight 9W 75 on 24thof

Dec.

May we assure you that we have checked

all possible areas of airport but regret to confirm that your bag has not

been traced as yet. As per missing baggage handling guidelines, any missing

baggage that is not traced or found within 14days from the date baggage

is reported missing, it is declared as ‘lost’ and the case is thereafter

settled as per the weight loss policy.

Please be advised that the above loss will

be compensated on the basis of weight loss.

This mail has been escalated to our claims

department who will be further processing your final compensation.

Sincerely,

Dinesh
