Hi,

I have booked ticket from new Delhi to Mumbai on 05 Dec for the travel on 07 Dec from air India website.

Details of booking are as below :

Departure time : 0400 (from Delhi)

Arrival time : 0615 (at Mumbai)

The time of departure as mentioned on the ticket at the time of booking was 0400 from New Delhi.

I was informed by the customer care of air India on 06 dec that my flight got delayed by 02 hours and 45 minutes and now it will depart at 0645 from new Delhi, so when I asked them the reason for delay they said nothing. When I asked if they can put me on any other flight as I have to travel to pune after reaching Mumbai to attend a very important meeting. I called the customer care on 07 Dec morning to confirm the departure time once again and this time they told me that the flight will depart at 0930 now. When I asked them that I was not informed of this they told me that my mobile phone was not reachable.

New Delhi to Mumbai being a domestic travel, when I reached the New Delhi domestic airport and inquired about the flight at air India counter, they told me that this flight will depart from international airport instead of domestic and again they told that it will now depart at 1030 instead of 0930 .But while booking the ticket from air India website, it was no where mentioned in the e ticket that the flight will depart from international airport. So, I had to again travel from domestic to international airport.

I booked this early morning flight to reach to my office in pune in time to attend a very important meeting related with onsite opportunity which I missed because of this delay in air India flight I am suffered mental as well as very huge financial loss as this delay on part of Air India has spoiled my career financially. I told the air India staff at airport about this but they said that they can’t help me in this. After running here and there the since 0400 when I reached international airport at 0600 and enquired about the flight they told me that since I can’t get outside once I enter the airport premise I can get inside the airport only after 0700 so I had to wait outside airport in cold weather for 1 hour. Being awake for the whole night to reach to airport and rushing from domestic to international airport and here and there I fell ill.

Also when I entered the airport there was no one to take care of the passengers of flight AI 349 at airport and there was no announcement from Air India for this flight other than a LCD screen showing the departure of flight AI349 at 1030 and status being as delayed together with other flight timings. So finally, having in mind that my flight will depart at 1030 when I went to Air India check in counter at 0900, they put me in another flight AI142 scheduled to be departed at 0930.So I got my boarding pass rushed to the boarding gate which were already closed and I had to literally beg the security person to please open up the gate and to my dismay when i reached the plane door, the Air India staff misbehaved me saying that I am not on time.

I had to go through a mental trauma for the whole day because of this delay and it was like a worst nightmare i ever faced I need a appropriate compensation for this delay on part of Air India as soon as possible.

Please take this incidence as a high priority and act.
