Owndamage clam refused

Sir i had purchaged KA-26-M-1028 ambulance from gadag that time vehicle was insured but we could not transfered the registration because it had some body work (fitness was required} we got all repairs and went to RTO TO GET transfered, but insurance was due so we paid the insurance which was in first party name then got registration transfered on the same day. thinking that the policy is payed we continued, after 6 months the vehicle met with accident and was declared total loss. now the incurance company is denying to give owndamage clame. pls give the suggesion what to do next. dr srinivas
