Manufacturing Defect- Product broken

(Bill no. T-20/ 2572 dated 21.03.2010 for Rs. 1550/-)

PURCHASED BIG BAZAAR- INDER LOK, DELHI -110035

i purchased 1 pair of Sandle for my son from Big Bazaar on Sunday 21.03.2010. The rubber sole of the sandle torn off and broke on first wearing itself. The upper flap / cover of the sandle also came off as the broken sole could not hold it.

I took the broken sandle to the Big Bazaar for replacement within 3 days on 24.03.2010. The Store Manager, Mr. Amit Kumar (mobile 9871379991) and customer care officer, Mr. Vijay (mobile 9811346909) took the Sandle and told that for replacement they would need the approval of HO and asked me to leave the sandle with them and they will call to me in 2 days. I left the sandle and they gave me Big Bazaar Gate Pass no. 2085 dated 24.03.2010.

They did not call for next 4 days, So I called them on 28.04.2010. They told me that they will "REPAIR" the sandle and will not replace it.

This is totally wrong and example of poor service of BIG BAZAAR. Whenever you buy shoes or Sandle from any shop (like Bata, Liberty, Action, ) you get minimum guarantee of 6 months. Breaking of Sole within 1 day on first wear is nothing but manufacturing defect and the product should be replaced. Repair is not the solution and it would be second hand product withing 2 days of buying. I request Big Bazaar Managment to look into this and get me replacement of torn off Sandle.
